The Truth Must be told so lies can be exposed! (Galatians 5;6)

The following are deaths that have occurred in or surrounding the Lowndes County Jail for WHATEVER REASON. But the State of Georgia has not addressed these deaths nor talked with U.S. District Court Judge Hugh Lawson of the Middle District of Georgia concerning Civil Action 89-54-VAL and many other problems within Lowndes County. Therefore, where will it end…

There seem to be a continuation of an old Valdosta City Charter of 1860 that was just removed from Valdosta City Hall----in early 2004.

It read: 100: Section XI, “the Mayor and Council, they shall pass all proper and necessary laws and ordinances for the control of slaves and free persons of color in said town and suppress and abate all nuisances arriving from hogs, dogs, horses, or other stock straying at large in said town, or from other causes.”

*On 5 May 2005, fifteen protesters were arrested at Valdosta City Council (Monthly) Meeting and taken to jail. Jailed inmates spoke of other deaths at the jail but not reported to the public. (This cannot be confirmed but inmates gave their names as a reference).

Dear Editor, Concerned Citizens and Message Boards

On 21 December 2005, the Valdosta Daily Times (VDT) reported that on HWY 41 near Hahira Georgia a white man XXXXXXX XXXXX in his mid 20s, threatened to injure himself. He appeared to be intoxicated, barricaded himself in the home, disabled the phones, made threats to himself, threatened a VDT photographer, fired a shotgun at investigators, fired shots while emerging from the home with a shotgun, shots ricocheted grazing an investigator and negotiations continued for nearly three hours at tax payers expense until taken into custody.

The VDT also reported that Lowndes County Sheriff Ashley Paulk said. “It was just an unfortunate situation…” “We don’t think he had any intent to harm anybody…” “We’re glad this was resolved with no injuries…” “The person was really seeking help.”

While I am personally grateful to the Lowndes County Sheriffs Department for resolving the problem without any serious injuries. I question the comments: It was just an unfortunate situation, that he was not a threat to anybody, just seeking help. In addition, there were no charges published in the times. And why escort him down a public street without handcuffs?

There are people behind bars, on probation, and paying fines for lesser offenses. Back in May of 2005, fifteen law abiding citizens were arrested, jailed, handcuffed, and denied bail for nearly 24 hours for disturbing a public meeting according to Valdosta City Mayor and Council.

Although, they did not threaten anyone, possess a shotgun, use over three hours of tax payers money with a standoff, threaten a VDT photographer, glaze investigators with bullets from a firearm, disable telephones, barricade themselves in a building, fired shots, appeared to be intoxicated, and they posed no threat to anyone including law enforcement or themselves. However, they were arrested, charged, taken away in handcuffs, and held for 24 hours without bail.

We are constantly bombarded with complaints from citizens in and out of the State of Georgia for being stopped, harassed, searched, charged, placed on probation and fined for much less than reported on 21 Oct 05.

Americans had better wake-up to a new reality that is plaguing law enforcement and our justice system image among citizens. Moreover, if justice is not applied equally Americans could be forced into taking the law into their own hands.

We must understand that greater nations fell from within because of unjust laws, and unequal treatment under the law. Whether we are Muslim, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Atheists or other. We must treat our neighbors and their children as we ourselves wish to be treated. Otherwise, we will not be seen as the guardians of freedom, justice, and equality for all humanity. Peace!

How many more citizens must die for whatever reason, and who are the possessors of the Moral Flame.

Dear Editor, concerned citizens of America and beyond!

Truth! The Valdosta Daily Times (VDT) reported on 16 February 2006 that Esavious Wright died shortly after midnight in the Lowndes County Jail. After he asked a Sheriffs Deputy for a glass of water. And that He was breathing until moved to medical where CPR was tried to resuscitate him. Esavious was the second inmate to die in five months in the Lowndes County Jail. As in 2002 when “Richard Oakley and Sandra J. Wallace” died within four months for whatever reasons.

Esavious Wright joined (1) Willie McFarland, age 38, (2) Willie Lee Gaye, age 39, died 23 October 1995, (3) Willie James Williams, age 49, died 2 September 1998, (4) Ronzie “Sonny” Graham, age 48, died 13 July 2000, (5) Rosemary King, age 40, died 20 July 2001, (6) Richard William Oakley, age 27, died April 2002. (7) Sandra J. Wallace, age 39, died 31 August 2002, (8) Lisa Sanders, age 38, died 2003, (9) John Henry Dejonghe, age 49, died 21 June 2004, (10) Amaruy Quinones, age 34, died 2 September 2005, and (11) Esavious Wright, age 29, died, 16 February 2006.

On 16 February 2006, the (VDT) reported that Capt J.D. Yeager of the Sheriffs Department said, “All we know at this point is that Mr. Wright died, the only thing suspicious about this death is that he's a 29 year-old male. Regardless of where people are at, whether they're at home, they're on the street, they're at a motel or in the jail, when it comes their time, they're going to die. Its just something we can't prevent.”

Also review Civil Action Number 89-54-VAL, by U.S. District Court Order and Consent Decree of the Middle District of Georgia Valdosta Division rendered by The Honorable Judge Hugh Lawson. He identified 105 violations or recommendations to be corrected at the jail within two years. Several inmates filed this civil action back in 1989.

However, after two decades local, state, national governmental agencies and political leaders have failed to investigate the denial of American Citizens 1st, 6th, 8th, and 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States as listed in CA #89-54-VAL.

Many of these citizens are American Veterans who served their country with honor, pride, courage and distinction. While many Christians, Muslims, Jews, politicians, and others seem to have buried their heads in the sand like the legend concerning the ostrich.

While inmates continue to live in abusive, inhumane, and unsanitary conditions as in CA #89-54-VAL, and reported in the VDT on 29 August 2003.

Moreover, the recent accidental shooting by Vice President Dick Chaney proves that there are two or three different sets of laws in America for different people. And without change our beloved nation will no longer be known as a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Because too many Americans are losing faith, trust, and respect for Law Enforcement, Justice System, News Media outlets including the Associated Press, Politicians, Civil Rights Organizations, Religious Organizations, Department of Justice etc.,. because of ostrich like maneuvers that are destroying the very foundation of our republic.

So how many more Americans and military veterans must die for whatever reasons before the media, and elected officials take a BOLD, independent, patriotic, and courageous look into these known and unknown deaths in the State of Georgia.

We the people are the possessors of the moral flame and must be forever vigilant, and confident that Galatians 6;7 will stand the test of the “Just Time Keeper.” It is this Supreme Governing Body that will render all equal under his law. Through whom born; no travel returns without his or her just reward.

Another Inmate Died In Lowndes County Jail -- But Who Cares?

SPECIAL NOTE: On 24 March 2006, Kelli Hernandez reported in the Valdosta Daily Times that jailed inmate Bobby Stanford died on 23 March 2006 at 1:15 a.m. in or surrounding the Lowndes County Jail for whatever reasons.

Captain J.D. Yeager of the Sheriffs Office said, “There is nothing suspicious about this death.” On 16 Feb 2006, concerning Inmate Esavious Wright death, the department said, “All we know at this point is that Mr. Wright died, the only thing suspicious about this death is that he's a 29 year-old male. Regardless of where people are at, whether they are at home, they are on the street, they are at a motel or in the jail, when it comes their time, and they are going to die. Its just something we can't prevent.”

SUBJECT, Citizens Be ware!

The autopsy report of Esavious Wrights death in the Lowndes County Jail is still pending release to the public from 16 February 2006. Back in June 2004, it took twenty-four days just for the media to report the name of inmate John Henry Dejonghe death to the public.

Moreover, the cause of Dejonghe death and some other inmates have left citizens in shock and awe. Even though some deceased, inmates were American Veterans who served their country with honor and distinction.

After twelve or more known deaths in or surrounding the Lowndes County Jail. It seem that some city, county, state, elected official, district attorney, judge, Law Enforcement Officer, grand jury, coroner, Moultrie Crime Lab, GBI, FBI, U.S. Department of Justice, Georgia Sheriffs Association, South Georgia Medical Center, member of the Georgia Bar Association, Valdosta Ministerial Allowance, Georgia Department of Corrections, Georgia Attorney General, State Representative, associated press, Governor, 60 minutes, 48 hours, dateline, Prime Time, MSNBC, C-Span, CBS, ABC, news magazines, civil rights organizations, republicans, democrats, news papers, Christians, Muslims, members of Judaism, or some other patriotic agency would have found the following deaths strange and worthy of investigation in the State of Georgia.

Our leaders seem to be more concerned about spending hundreds of billions of our tax dollars in Iraq. While burying their head in the sand like the legend concerning the ostrich while inmate, after inmate perish in jail for whatever reason. Even though, inmates, family members, and concerned citizens have been ignored by practically every agency in the State of Georgia and beyond.

Therefore, who cares about American citizens in the 21st Century of our Republic? The question will continue to be. How many More must die for whatever reason before Georgia put a stop to this trend---but then again, who cares?

Who Killed
Willie Williams?

• Willie J. Williams was stopped by Lowndes County Sheriff Deputy Kevin Farmer on September 1, 1998-one day later, he was found dead in his jail cell.

The medical examiner who received his body the next day found that Mr. Williams had

a broken neck,
• a massive brain hemorrhage
• a separated shoulder, 3 broken ribs,
• two front teeth knocked out, and
• unexplained scrapes and bruises all over his body, including
• two deep oval contusions on the back of his head
• 
  
• The medical examiner ruled Williams' death a homicide.
• Sheriff Paulk and his Department claim Williams simply fell down
• Farmer's arrest report states that Williams fell once on his own and then Farmer placed him on the ground until his backup arrived, but
• The video from the backup squad car shows the arresting officer, Farmer, swinging what appears to be a flashlight at Williams and knocking him to the ground
• Yet since the hospital staff who treated him on the night of his arrest claim his injuries were not as severe as reported by the medical examiner, we have to ask
• What happened to Williams after he got to the jail?
• Where is the Booking Tape that recorded his arrival there?
• Mr. Williams is dead and it is clear that he didn't simply fall down-Who killed him?

Recently the Valdosta City Mayor and Council appointed a special committee to study renaming Barber Park from its segregated and shameful past. This park is located in a community that is 97 percent Black. And on May 5, 2005 the Mayor and Council had fifteen citizens arrested for allegedly disrupting a public meeting (City Council Meeting).

Moreover, they were held in the Lowndes County Jail for twenty-four hours without bond. The Rev. Floyd E. Rose an elderly minister was placed in solitary confinement away from others arrested with him.

Then in April 2006, the Georgia Supreme Courts ruled the arrest unconstitutional.

It seems strange that city officials would arrest fifteen law-abiding citizens for trying to rid the city of its segregated and shameful past in the same manner an 1860 Valdosta City Charter was removed in 2004 from Valdosta City Hall that led into the Municipal Court room that read:

On June 23, 2006, George Hill Jr. became the thirteenth known death in or surrounding the Lowndes County Jail for whatever reason. While local elected officials seem to have turned deaf ear to this seventeen-year-old problem (4 deaths in nine months) in Valdosta and Lowndes County Georgia.

Many of these deceased inmates were American Veterans. But the city, county, state of Georgia, and the United States Department of Justice have not investigated or put a stop to this continuing trend.

However, the Mayor and Council seem happy to use tax dollars to arrest fifteen citizens for addressing their elected officials on a civil rights issue. As the hip-hop generation would say, so what’s up with that?

I retired from the United States Air force in 1991. And never have I seen local elected officials, and the South Georgia Media so happy to see citizens arrested. While inmates continue to die without an investigation or investigative reporting by anyone. While for our elected representatives sit down, say noting and do nothing to stop this trend is a moral disgrace.

The Honorable Judge Hugh Lawson of the Middle District of Georgia Valdosta Division ruled in 1997 for Lowndes County to fix the 105 violations in the jail within two years. This action came from several plaintiffs in the late eighties. CA #89-54-VAL:

I received several calls from jailed inmates about the latest death. They said more deaths would occur because of the extreme heat, unsanitary, abusive, and practically no valid complaint system for jailed inmates.

In truth, I believe there is a GOD of Righteousness. Therefore, those who fail to respect God's children cannot be honored with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
